In the equestrian industry the 'C' word is banded about brazenly, so much so it has become a bit of an anomaly. most riders believe that they need to have/build/seek more confidence in their riding in order to improve. However, what they really mean is they need to improve their skillset, making them more proficient and thus competent. Which then brings confidence.
